There is no legal requirement that parties pick their candidates by strictly democratic methods. Such methods would seem to be rare in American history.

The fix is already in for the scales to be tilted in favor of Herself. Most, if not all, of the “superdelegates” (NOT elected in any manner) have been put under obligation to the candidacy of Herself, some with considerably more leverage than normal being applied in a back room somewhere.

Fingernails were involved....
