I got a direct mail piece the other day from the Cruz campaign, and it was very deceptive. The envelope said "check enclosed", and the cellophane window revealed enough of the contents that confirmed that, indeed, a check was inside.

The 'check' was made out to Ted Cruz for President, and had three separate disclaimers in the lower right hand corner saying that this was not legal tender.

What a jerk.

Are you sure it was from the Cruz campaign?

I do think Cruz’s campaign is guided by some people who rely on gimmicks. They’re doing the stuff that has won races in the past but it stinks and we’d be a heckuva lot better off if everybody just dropped that crap. The Trump campaign has done jerk stuff too. I wish the political advisers would just knock it off already.
