The Cruz people have taught me that once you have sinned you are a dirty POS and will go to hell and die like you deserve.

I have not heard anyone say that, on either side, except through snotty partisan crap. Which suggests to me that people keep their “politics” separate from their “Christianity”, which is part of the reason we’re in the boat we’re in. We don’t let our Christianity impact the way we behave when we engage in the blood sport of “politics”.
Unfortunately, I do think that some of the people on the Cruz campaign are guilty of the same thing. Campaign ads just stink.
