Genetics, rich food, good living, never served our country a day in her life, a real leftist parasite.

My son survived on one MRE per day in Iraq during the famous 750 mile drive of equipment and fighting from Kuwait to Baghdad and then Balad AF Base, including spending days in the sandstorm of the century and on guard against Iraqi fedeyeen attacks.

He came back a “lean, mean, fighting machine”, not a PC leftist vegetarian wimp.

This leftist pig can take her “greens” and shove them where the sun don’t shine. Then maybe she will lose some weight. Or a couple weeks tour of duty in Afghanistan will take the fat of the land off the pig of the land.

PS: I didn’t see any broccoli in Nam either. Nor did I have to eat C or K rations. Lucky me.

Looking back on it now after all these years, I'd say Ham and Lima Beans was my favorite C-Ration.

There were several memorable events of 1968, and one of them was when Ham and Lima Beans were taken out of our C-rations and replaced by spaghetti. Also removed from C-rations that year were the cookies in the C-ration B-3 unit and the white bread from the B-2 unit. Really missed those cookies, but never developed a taste for the white bread. As for the Ham and Lima Beans, there are mixed emotions. The Ham and MFers weren't that bad if you could heat them up before attempting to eat them; you just had to melt that inch of lard that coagulated at the top of the can. There's no way of telling how many calories were packed into those cans of Ham and MFers, but it had to be way over a thousand, and just how many of those calories were from fat, no one even wants to know. The good thing about this meal was that you could eat a can in the morning and drive on all day before getting hungry enough to face another can of Ham and MFers. I wonder how many of us are still carrying part of those cans of Ham and Lima Beans around in our arteries.

Probably the most memorable event of 1968 was when Raquel Welch appeared in her undies on the back page of the Army Digest. (see attached) That pin-up graced the walls of countless bunkers throughout Vietnam for the remainder of the war and probably can still be found on a wall or two in Vietnam. And, oh yeah, there was that thing they called the 1968 Tet Offensive.

First, thank you to both you and your son for your service.

Second, So let me understand this...Moochelle is actually
suggesting that our troops face a hard day of training or G-d forbid fighting an enemy fueled with carrot sticks?
Even marathon runners are allowed to at least carboload.
The OZeros cannot be out of the WH fast enough.

G-d bless our Service men and women.
(My nephew who is 6’7” is currently somewhere in Iraq - I’ve
fed that boy throughout his life - trust me carrots and broccoli wouldn’t fuel him to go shopping let alone carry a weapon and pack.)
