Yep. Very impressive to see it in person - Jefferson's statue glaring at the White Hut with the words "I HAVE SWORN UPON THE ALTAR OF GOD ETERNAL HOSTILITY TO EVERY FORM OF TYRANNY OVER THE MIND OF MAN" encircling above his head.
Jefferson clearly believed in God, that He created our minds FRee, and that We The People should constitute a government having the purpose "TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS" - in order that the relationship between the Individual and their Creator, remain so - and not fall within the purview of the self-worshiping bureaucratic state-establishment.
