It is only constitutional if you believe that Congress can vote to give up their power under the Constitution to circumvent the treaty clause. I do not agree with that.

What’s interesting is that Ted Cruz has not shown ANY birth documents of his own that show any connection to US citizenship other than his mother’s birth certificate. What I also still don’t understand is how Cruz could have had dual citizenship when in 1970 Canada didn’t recognize such a status. If his mother had filed a CRBA then Ted would not have been given Canadian citizenship. But Ted was a Canadian citizen until 2014. Was he granted US citizenship minus a CRBA irregardless of his Canadian status due to his mother’s status? Is there ANY legal documentation indicating his US citizenship or is it granted solely on his mother’s birth origin with NO confirming paperwork on Ted behalf needed?

This entire agreement has been suspect from the get go. No notes, no talking about it - everything done in secret. In this administration what else is new? All that is known is Jeff Sessions says it must be stopped in its tracks. That’s good enough for me. I do remember Ted voting for a portion of it and his calling Mr. Turtle a liar on the floor of the senate because of the tactics pulled. That (in itself) was a no brainer. Mr. Turtle has not been one to be trusted for ever so long. If Ted did not all ready know that fact -he is a very poor judge of character. No one respects Mr. Turtle and no one believes the weak eyed pipsqueak.
As to Heidi - it helps to keep the peace when the two parts of a couple are of the same mind. Otherwise, it might lead to homicide.

The Real Heidi Cruz

Check me, gg188, "In Forum" for research/background/truth on Heidi, Goldman Sachs, "free trade", TPP, and Ted and Goldman Sachs etc.

“Mrs. Cruz isn’t a candidate.”

We vote for couples now, as the First Ladies wield great influence and power. They have the ability to direct quite a bit of policy and have since the Reagans, if not before.

Can you imagine Bill back in the white house? It would have to be renamed the Rape House, and I can imagine the west wing being remodeled (since the first ladies do the remodeling) in good old hillbilly fashion (I’m thinking a cross between the Beverly Hillbillies, Graceland and the Playboy Mansion).

Tell me you really don’t think Bill would influence the White House?

I can’t think of a single first lady since Nancy (Just Say No), that sat on the sidelines. The days of Jackie Kennedy are pretty much over.

Thanks for that link....the entire article is great (loved the Mr Haney reference, since I’ve seen the youtubes)...the last paragraph is spot on and a hoot, to boot!

.....

Don’t get me wrong. Ted Cruz is a smart, canny, talented guy who has run a great “long race” campaign. He aspires to be Reagan but trust me he’s Nixon. Right down the incredible discipline and smarts playing the political game. Ted Cruz is not who he appears to be. As the bible says, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” In this case we must beware a Canadian bearing gifts.

Then Ted Cruz would be the second presidential usurper in the USA, having never actually been even a US citizen. Odinga's only proof was the one fabricated birth certificate from Hawaii.

Ted and Heidi are the Bill and Hillary of the 21st Century. The "twofer". Except Heidi has really accomplished things on her own, but like Hillary, evil things. She, like Ted, is a Washington Insider Oligarch Political Class, in the revolving door between Fed Gov and Goldman Sachs. She was top adviser crafting "free trade" policy in the White House. She is MANAGING DIRECTOR of Goldman Sachs--that's below only PARTNER. She is heavily involved with Robert Zoellrick, World Bank pres and Goldman Sachs officer. These are no borders, globalists, "free trade" (ie., destroy America jobs), UNLIMITED H1B visas (currently Ted is only for 500,000...these are the GOOD JOBS...STEM and technical and business professional jobs making good money. There are only about 8 million left and the goal of the globalists is to replace all Americans in these jobs with Indians, while eventually shifting the jobs offshore.)

There's tons more on Heidi and Ted. THEY ARE GLOBALISTS. Not conservatives by ANY stretch of the imagination. Ted is SAYING that. He is owned by Goldman Sachs and NY Investment banks. He has a blank check from Goldman Sachs---who benefited handsomely from TARP's 700 billion transfer or your money and mine to banksters. Goldman Sachs and the investment banks will be on the inside at the very top---the White House. Heidi will become Government Sachs partner. Everything Government Sachs wants, they get. They will have BOUGHT the influence in what they've done for Heidi and Ted.

There's tons more pretty available by Googling (that which hasn't been sent down the memory hole.) Cruzers won't vet this pair. We will.

For starters, TPP allows totally open immigration, into the US from the other signatories. And it allows them to work in the USA unimpeded by work visas, allowing the Indians and Chinese to take all the remaining good jobs and good-paying jobs. That's just one tiny part.

This trade "deal" is the creation of Robert Zoellrick of World Bank and Goldman Sachs (Heidi is their managing director), Robert Pastor and Heidi Cruz, who served as "free trade" senior adviser in the White House before going to Goldman Sachs as senior officer. Cruzers---get off your behinds and do some RESEARCH.

Heidi wrote the book on "free trade." It's a chapter, actually, in a larger book on George W. Bush. She also is on the committee to create the North American Union, making North America borderless and merging the USA with Mexico, at Mexican pay rates and living conditions.

The Cruz DIRTY TRICKS, lies, electioneering, illegal mailers, omission of Million Dollar checks from Goldman Sachs from his FEC filings, and in violation of FEC rules---these are NOTHING compared to the globalist agenda beneath.

Born in Canada. Not even a natural born citizen and not eligible to BE president...it's all too much. I don't believe in coincidences, especially when they come down on your head like a ton of bs.

lol at the FReepers acting “surprised” that someone can be a free-trader and conservative, like Ronald Reagan

I wouldn't expect most conservatives to object to free markets in general, or particular. But I also question whether hundreds (thousands?) of pages of regulations managing trade is best described as a 'free trade' deal.

Head scratcher ?

Naah, not really. Once it looked like it was going forward, some "changes" were made to the bill.

Making it a bad bill, re the EXIM Bank and immigration.

It was good that he voted against it.

Yeah, this reminds me of Trump on immigration. For amnesty, against amnesty, for amnesty, against amnesty... If he becomes president it’ll probably be around time for him to switch back and cut that deal with Pelosi and Ryan... two people he’s given donations to.
