Trey Gowdy used to be my congressman and I saw him once, but I’ve never bought into the hype about him. He just doesn’t seem to be as good as some might think.

What’s the problem woofie? Those guys throw people under buses for a living. Are they exempt?

Rubio is simply not trustworthy. His multiple positions on amnesty have permanently destroyed any possibility of me ever trusting him. I am generally willing to forgive a mistake or two mistakes and I don’t mean a minor “misspeak” due to a momentary brainfart. This guy told one group one thing one day and a different group a completely opposite thing the next day and I will never trust him. Ever. Period.

Trey Gowdy needs to take a look at Rubio’s possible homo/bi-sexual past .
That’s pretty disgusting , if true , and certainly worth considering if we are asked to vote for the guy

Gowdy is another one who doesn’t want to see change. Don’t you repubs see it? You fall for it all the time. You think this guy is some sort of hero.
What has he done? Besides symbolism?
The greatest fear of any republican politician is actually winning a fight, because if they won a fight, they couldn’t raise funds on the issue any more.
Your southern friend King is a prime example. His symbolism to go pray during a vote is great symbolism, and it will probably raise 30 million bucks to his coffers over time, but it accomplishes NOTHING.
This is all republicans do, symbolism. When push comes to shove, they do NOTHING. They have the house and the senate, and the first thing they do is change the rules back to the way they were before the dems changed them, to ensure they can CHANGE NOTHING.
Why did they want Roberts in? Because he would change NOTHING. Hell, if they overturned R vs W the lifespan of 30% of repubs would be OVER and the funding would dry up.
This is what you repubs don’t get, you all for flappin jaws over action.
Gowdy will never do anything but hold hearings after hearings with the same muddled results.. that they need more hearings.
No solutions, ever. You guys let the dems run the coarse, and then you just fund-raise on symbolism.
Gowdy... geeze another hero of the right. You guys sure can pick losers. Winners have track records of accomplishments (I’m sorry getting elected is NOT an accomplishment), losers have high hopes and lofty ideals.

Trey Gowdy was a man I had high hopes for his probe into the Clinton lock box on the Benghazi tragedy. He thinks he can redeem himself from his failure by bad mouthing Trump. There is a saying that you never elevate yourself by putting someone else down. It would work if people were asleep. However, they will see through his propaganda and scorn him.
Gowdy may be retiring from Congress to run for South Carolina Governor. Whatever his plans, he is showing that his three terms in Washington D.C. has caused him to grow more entrenched and brought incompetence. As chairman of the House Select Committee to investigate the 2012 Benghazi attack he has done nothing. In the noise of the Washington scene, he has also grown tone deaf to the growing wave of the Trump movement.
Well then I hope you lose, Trey.

I remember feeling the same way about another SC Republican back in the 1990's who talked big in front of cameras but in the end let someone named Clinton skate. Then he became John McCain's political mistress and gradually diminished to the point where if he were on fire, I would not walk across the street to put out the flames even if I had a full bladder.
Goudy isn't impressing me either.

That pretty much says it all. Just ploys for stealth RINOs to fake out the constituency until the 2014 elections where they were given an even bigger majority with which they have done nothing but duck squat.
