Guys, nobody will care about this. It actually makes Cruz look human. He should respond to this. That at 16 he was as stupid as any other16 year old. And in some cases he was pulling down the curve.
You should look at Obama, Ted Kennedy, or George Bush for some real indiscretions.
Well, I wasn’t drinking at 16-years old in 1966. But, I’m having a nice Mitcher’s (Small Batch)Bourbon right now. I don’t care if Cruz drank like a fish or if Trump chased girls a lot. We need a man for President who is a man today and stands for something.
Just my opinion.
Cruz would have been what age in 1987? 17? So he got drunk when he was 17. So did I. It was a horrifying experience.
My new found friend JR had a mature female friend who was willing to buy alcohol for teens. So we went to her place and I got a pint of vodka, JR got a fifth. We got really drunk. At some point we decided to walk home. Early on JR passed out, and I felt I was responsible for his safety. So I grabbed him by the foot and started dragging him home. After crossing a street and realizing thumping is head over a couple of curbs was probably not a good thing, I left him in a neighbor’s yard, and went home to try to get my brother’s help. Mom was waiting for me at the door, took one look at me and ordered me to bed. Then she railed on my brother for being a bad influence on me (not true) and I passed out.
The next day I found out that JR had been spotted that night by the owner on whose property I dropped him and was taken to the hospital and had his stomach pumped
And everyone lived happily ever after.
The drip drip drip is starting...
Next we’ll hear he TPed a house, gave someone a “hertz donut”, or *gasp*.... “noogies”.
Baraq was part of the Choom Gang at that age and moved on to blow later.
He talks about it in his books.
...
And he’s the worst president in the history of the Universe.
This is the best you got? Really? He got drunk once as a teenager? LOL.
>>Character is an issue, but drinking before age 21 does not tell us much about the character of a man in his 40s.
I disagree.
“Never trust a man who doesn’t drink.” - W.C. Fields
Hell, I think this will help him. He comes across sometimes as a too-uptight guy from the 50’s, so hearing that he can raise a little humanizes him a bit.
What happened in 1987? Did Cruz drive an Oldsmobile off of a bridge?
Hello Troll
Ditto
Sure glad I’m not famous. The crap that could be dug up about me would curl your hair—seriously.
If this is the banning criteria for political service, then most Democrats would be in jail on drug charges, drunk driving, sexual misbehavior, and grand theft (of services and the peoples’ money), not to mention aiding and abetting our enemies, cowards in the face of the enemy, and TREASON.
Currently reading John Adams by McCullough.
It’s not sensational at all but you get distinct hints of the frailties of our founders.
We’re human. Aspiring for your best as much as possible is really all we can ask of one another.
TO #32. I wish I had done some of that “crap” and had enough hair left to “curl” today.
Sometimes life can be boring, and safe.
OBama is an admitted cocaine user and a pot head.
OH WAIT. He’s a democrat.
Time to look more closely into Hillary and Bills affairs.
Some of us Catholics don’t recognize this Pope
Another reason to vote W.A.S.P.!
Trump’s a tee-totaler!
Ted, aka, Rafael Eduardo Cruz, suitor to all the evangelicals, an imbiber of demon rum!!
How about overdue library books? That should end his presidential ambitions. /s
