I give speeches all the time. To some audiences, I’m wild and crazy, pretty funny, occasionally profane.
When I’m asked to give more formal speeches, I give more formal speeches. Only a crazed Cruzer would think that you can’t do both, or that to speak to your audience is somehow “misleading” or phony.
Lincoln did it all the time. When in southern Illinois he was MUCH more lenient about slavery than in speeches given in the northern part of the state. But I guess Cruzers don’t read Lincoln anymore.

It’s neither and it’s both. They’re sucking up to each other. Trump for what he can suck out of them and the grifters for what they can suck out of him.
By the way, I’d never call them “loser grifters”. In case you haven’t noticed, they’ve been very successful grifters.
