Plenty of people are claiming he is a conservative. And this is a conservative web site. Hillary Clinton is also not a conservative, but I don't see people around here supporting her.

And the problem is, if you look at Trump in his totality, you realize that his talk about immigration is nothing more than a way to attract attention. There is a statistically insignificant difference in the likelihood Trump "will build a wall," and Hillary will.

Trump's stand on immigration is perfectly consistent with his foreign policy, which clearly puts the interests of the rooted American population over those of the rest of the world. Why do you doubt his sincerity? He argues to a purpose consistent with his avowed purpose on a great many issues--restoring American interests--not American geographic interests--but American in the sense of being a specific people's interests.

He does not argue from an academic philosophic perspective; but it is from the same identification of who is who, and who is for who, that the academic philosophers, who are Conservative, also reflect.

That is the point in realizing that Cruz & Trump neatly complement each other. (See Support For Trump & Cruz.)
