I don't think many people understand this point. Trump is pulling in conservatives. But his coalition is much broader then that. That's why he's difficult to pigeonhole which was probably his strategy all along.

Trump is a two-fold disaster. He gets all the hatred from the left that the most staunchest, hard-core conservative would get but he actually holds very moderate positions on the issues. So he gives us all the electoral headaches and none of the rewards.
