It's hard to imagine the New Hampshire primary going any worse for establishment Republicans.
Desperate to find a candidate to coalesce around in hopes of stopping the populist insurrection of Donald Trump and the conservative uprising championed by Ted Cruz, the establishment instead got the opposite: a three-way split decision between John Kasich, Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio that ensures an extended, nasty and expensive fight simply to emerge as the third guy in the top tier.
The goal for most unaligned establishment Republicans heading into the eight-day gap between Iowa's caucuses and New Hampshire's primary was that Rubio emerge as the clear-cut favorite for their wing of the party with a second place finish -- behind only Donald Trump — in the Granite State. Rubio seemed on his way to doing just that until Saturday night's debate when he just kept repeating the same line about President Obama knowing exactly what he is doing.
That brain glitch, which was seized on and exploited by Chris Christie, stopped Rubio's momentum — a fact he acknowledged in the wake of his disappointing fifth place finish on Tuesday.

Sounds like a plan. Especially the Ryan part.
Trump is newly focused on many of the issues; has not spent years focusing on those issues. But I believe that Trump is a genuine Conservative, who is now in the process of focusing on the functional concepts with respect to which, Cruz resolved his own perceptions, years ago.
The point I keep stressing, is that we need both the philosophically coherent conservative faction, and the subjective personality driven Conservatives, who are motivated to preserve America as it was intended, even though they have relied on the Ted Cruzes to iron out the details of how best to explain what is essential to that purpose.
I’ve read the Cruz number doesn’t include the pro-Cruz SuperPACs. I’d like to see the numbers with the PAC’s spending for each candidate included. Estimates, anyway....
You may be right but he sure as hell better clean up his language before heading to the bible belt. Otherwise he’ll find out the hard way that southerners don’t appreciate having to cover their children’s ears when he speaks. We’ve already had one president whose actions were disgustingly gross. We don’t need another who uses disgusting language.
I agree about really having no one to support, except the U. S. Constitution. My vote will be to make sure the Supreme Court doesn’t become a liberal behemoth.
Trump for President.
Cruz for SCOTUS.
Christie for AG.
Carson for Surgeon General.

The 1st article seems to include only spending for TV ads. The 2nd, I’m not sure.

Trump took great satisfaction from his NH massive victory. It gives him Trmpmentum going into SC where he has a big lead.

Sometimes winning is defined as stopping the greater evil, in this case Hillary.
Every candidate brings some risk, ex:(Bush gave us Roberts). If you’re waiting on purity I’m afraid you’re setup for a life time of disappointment. Demographics have changed with a slant to the left, we’re never going back. At best we slow the tide or take a risk, and throw a Hail Mary pass.
Honestly, Trump is a Hail Mary pass, not sure what we get, but at least he voices the critical issues and solutions, open borders and idiotic trade deals, both of which are destroying the middle class, creating generations of dependents, and Dem voters.
Real jobs for real Americans credited to a Republican/conservative is really the Republics only hope. Let citizens work out the social issues, politicians should stay focused on the above.
The other candidates are just the same old jokers, protecting their establishment fat cat positions and money handlers. Including Cruz, who has created so many enemies, he’ll get nothing done. As a matter of fact Cruz is the biggest threat to stopping Hillary, he has no chance to win the general, but could win the nomination.
Somewhere in there he brings in Cruz or Sessions as veep. Game over.

I saw a statistic that candidates had spent $hundreds per vote, and one, Jeb (I think), over $1,000. They would have been a lot smarter to just pay a couple of hundred to voters.
Meanwhile, I am off to buy more popcorn.
A friend with relatives and friends back in NH, joked that Kasich was in NH campaigning so many days, he was able to vote as a citizen. Also, he spent a lot money to get votes and support the NH economy.
He has spent his money and time in NH.
