Ha ha. I have same problem in FL. I have lived all over the country and picked up y’all after a few years living here in NE FL. One of my neighbors from GA asked me where I was from. She though maybe I was from GA. LOL.
I lived in Louisiana YEARS ago and for the most part not in the south since (though I’ve visited TX, FL, NC and SC during this time). I still say y’all - it just seems to work. In my travels, the people in the south are so hospitable and nice.
