The Clinton machine is corrupt, and Democrat politics is a nasty business beyond the Clintons as well. If the Dem insiders decide that Biden, say, is their best bet, they'll find a way to make that happen.

I'm also under no illusions that the Republicans are pure as the driven snow. Don't get me started on the GOPe; I am sick of the old bait and switch—promising Constitutional government but then just playing go-along-get-along, letting leftism creep into acceptance, slowly but surely.
