“This is Cruz’s idea of a positive conservative message?”

I agree - and I’m voting for Cruz. I didn’t like the use of the kids. Trump’s support of Liberals was fair game, but the Eminent Domain thing and focusing on that lady’s house was incorrect. Unless it is looked at as just “anybody’s” house. But that was not what I got out of it.

I had to go look at Trump’s ad saying that Cruz can’t be trusted. Same for that ad - a lot of shaky allegations. I thought it interesting that Trump had other people quoting the comments from newspapers, Carson, etc.

I guess that is the way politics goes. Can’t just have a civil argument with substance. Of course on a 30-second ad that is tough to do.

Why Ted Cruz is now the Republican front-runner

By PHILIP KLEIN Donald Trump may have come out of New Hampshire with the victory, but Sen. Ted Cruz has emerged as the Republican front-runner.
Though Trump's victory in New Hampshire was no doubt impressive, the electorate of independent voters and super high turnout was tailor-made for him, whereas Cruz didn't put substantial effort into winning the state — where very conservative candidates don't typically do as well. He is currently in position to win third here, with votes still outstanding.

As the race moves to South Carolina, however, Cruz has a ground game in place and the electorate is much more tailored to his strengths.

In Iowa, Cruz dominated Trump among “very conservative” voters, who made up 40 percent of the electorate, and evangelicals, who made up 62 percent of voters. But when it came to New Hampshire, evangelicals only comprised 25 percent of the electorate and “very conservative” voters dropped to 27 percent.

The South Carolina electorate is much closer to the Iowa electorate. In 2012, evangelicals were 65 percent of the electorate and very conservative voters were 36 percent of the electorate.

Furthermore, in Iowa, Cruz had to fend off Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, who were all competing for similar voters. Carson received 9 percent in Iowa, and though Huckabee didn't perform well, he did serve as an anti-Cruz attack dog to evangelicals. Now, Huckabee and Santorum are out, and Carson enters South Carolina greatly hobbled.

TED CRUZ WILL WIN SOUTH CAROLINA AND THE SEC STATES.
Bet on it.

“We need Bush, Rubio, and Kasich to stick around and chop up the establishment vote.”

Congrats to the Donald for a strong win!

However, I doubt that the GOPe will be deterred...I’m guessing the big donor orders will go out shortly for the GOPe types (Krispy, Carly, Jebra, and Kid Rubio) to stand down...the big $$$ will likely now get behind Kasich to create a 3-man race...this is their last best hope to keep the GOPe, cheap labor express in control!

Conservatives who did not drink the koolaid

I know quite a few 'spirit filled' folks, they aren't Cruz. There is kool-aid going around and it is the fake communion drink offered by Ted Cruz. This is what happens when deception and false prophets enter the church. Prostitutes are told to sin no more and each is allowed their 'Saul on the road to Damascus moment' - but the money changers in the Temple are delt with harshly. I don't necessarily blame the flock for wanting a champion - but I do blame the educated among them for not warning others.
