I remember that back in the day, the meme (we didn’t really have “memes” then) was that the Beatles, who played on stage in suits with ties were actual teddy boys, whereas the Stones who acted like teddy boys were actually from the upper class. To this day, I have a very hard time believing that Keith and Mick actually wrote all those songs. After 50yrs, I am gradually coming around to the fact that Kieth may be the real deal.
