Chelsea Clinton said God and religion guides so much of her mother's "moral compass" that she can't help but feel insulted when people question her family's faith.
"My mother is very deeply a person of faith," Ms. Clinton, the only child of former President Bill Clinton and Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, said at a recent fundraiser, the New York Post reported.
"It is deeply authentic and real for my mother, and it guides so much of her moral compass, but also her life's work," the 35-year-old added.
Hillary was raised as a Methodist, Bill grew up as a Baptist, and Chelsea's husband, Marc Mezvinsky, is Jewish. Chelsea explained that her family's religious diversity doesn't diminish their commitment to God, the New York Post reported.
"I find it quite insulting sometimes when people say to my mom, my dad or me … that they question our faith," she said. "I was raised in a Methodist church and I left the Baptist church before my dad did, because I didn't know why they were talking to me about abortion when I was 6 in Sunday school - that's a true story."
"I recognized that there were many expressions of faith that I don't agree with and feel [are] quite antithetical to how I read the Bible," she said. "But I find it really challenging when people who are self-professed liberals kind of look askance at my family's history."

Good Lord. This was the Clinton playbook from 1992. Bush I attacked Clinton as a philanderer and lecher and Clinton had his stooges go around talking about how Bill was a “man of deep faith.” Then when he got caught with Monica, he started carrying around that Bible and had pastors who met with him and “mentored” him in the late 1990s, all as some B.S. political shield against the charges, once again, that he was a philanderer and a lecher. So now Hillary is such a stone cold criminal b___tch that people are questioning her faith, so once again, the Clintons trot out one of their stooges (Chelsea) to say that Mommie is deeply religious. Its just so old.

Chelsea made a decision to leave the Baptist church at 6 years old because they were talking about abortion in Sunday school?
Okay.
1) I find it difficult to believe that a Baptist Sunday school would bring up abortion to first graders without permission from the parents.
2) I find it difficult to believe that a 6 year old would choose to leave a church because the pro-life view was offensive to her, that her sympathies would not be with the baby.
3) I find it possible to believe that a 6 year old would be so traumatized by the discussion of abortion that she would never want to go back.
4) I also find it possible to believe that Chelsea was brainwashed by her parents to believe at an early age that mean people wanted to force women to be pregnant when they didn’t want to be, and that there wasn’t any baby yet.

It’s just a lie like her mom. I have a four year old girl and she LOVES hearing about when she was in Mommy’s tummy and is very interested in the babies in other people’s tummies. There is no way a 6 year old is naturally pro killing unborn babies. They would see it from the baby’s perspective. Did someone want to kill me when I was in your belly, mommy??

A baby sitter told my daughter when she was about six or seven that mean people wanted to force women to be pregnant.
I told her that no one wants to force women to be pregnant, but there is always a baby living in the mother when she is pregnant, and the only way for her to stop being pregnant before the proper time is to kill the baby.
It was earlier than I wanted to have that discussion with her, but it worked out fine. All my children are pro-life. You tell them young, and you tell them that there are two human beings involved, and their sympathies are with the baby. A mommy is supposed to take care of her baby.
You’ve got to be warped, or stingy with the truth, I think, to make a pro-abortion child.
