Yep - and we have some here on FR that sit atop the acme of that height of stupidity.....they knee-jerk their thoughts of “fair is fair” without actually bothering to think about it then double down on their stupidity when called on it.
How about get rid of the Draft/ Registration, and follow the beliefs of Robert A Heinlein in which there should be no draft and citizens should be free to enlist of their own free will to defend their nation.

Just giving an honest opinion on FR, and to be honest that’s what I believe for I think that a citizen to defend their republic should be free to choose to do so like in Starship Troopers, and most would plus history backs that up.

Leftists are the only ones calling for restoring and expanding the draft. It’s not that they want women in combat, it’s that they want to poison the prospects of declaring war by forcing the populace to balk at sending the unwilling & unable to fight it.

When I was in Coast Guard boot camp. I heard our DI tell some female recruit that there was over a mile of d**k on this base and she couldn’t have an inch of it. LOL
It will absolutely be used again. We are on a rocket sled towards a society that places service to the state above the individual. There will be involuntary service required of kids. Maybe working in a Detroit ER, or maybe militarily. But yes, they absolutely want to find a way to require service to the state.
And many “conservatives” will celebrate it.

Too late. If the military accepts transgenders then the rule has already been changed. Men who think they are women must register. Or is it women who think they are men? Well, either way, the rule HAS been changed and consistency must be applied.
Same goes for the change in allowing women in combat. Premises have consequences. Just as so many were in denial that Lawrence vs. Texas would inevitably lead to Obergefell vs. Hodges as Scalia said it would, many of the premises for women registering for selective service have ALREADY BEEN ESTABLISHED.
It is a done deal.

Some good normal young woman being forced into the army to satisfy the insanity of the left or the political schemes of the right is abhorrent.
