Daddy went to work at Tyndall around 1948. When I was around 5 years old he would sometimes let me watch the flight line as jets took off and landed.
He worked there until around 1955 when they had a big layoff. He got on at Eglin and worked there for nearly 30 years until he retired.
5 years old...and getting to see those jets up close and personal. Nice!!
