Despite being backed by the monumental Right to Rise super PAC, Jeb Bush said Monday he would "eliminate" the Supreme Court decision that paved the way for super PACs.
"If I could do it all again I'd eliminate the Supreme Court ruling" Citizens United, Bush told CNN's Dana Bash. "This is a ridiculous system we have now where you have campaigns that struggle to raise money directly and they can't be held accountable for the spending of the super PAC that's their affiliate."
Bush's Right to Rise super PAC has dominated the fundraising race, pulling in $117.6 million last year, according to the latest FEC filings. But that money has not been enough to stop Bush's fall from the front of the Republican pack. And Right to Rise, run by Bush confidant Mike Murphy, has become the subject of derision among Bush supporters.

So Republicans would be disarmed while liberals could use unions and colleges.
He’s an idiot.
Why is the left banging on this so hard? Now big business is on their side, supporting gay marriage, global warming, transgender all white people being racist, etc. They've got everything to gain by allowing more money into politics.
And in a photo finish, Jeb just passed John Kasich for the last guy I’d vote for in the primary. Talk about being an elitist....
He sort of has a point. I’d like to see campaigns cut down from 18 to 24 months to three months, tops. There’d be less need to generate millions of dollars that benefits mainly the MSM. Plus, we might not be so sick of politics by the time elections rolled around. If Keshanya can’t figure out which politician is promising her the most free stuff after three months of pandering, maybe she’s too stupid to vote.
Wrong answer yeb. Just another reason to keep out of the bush’s camp. Can you say idiot? Unless he also gets rid of union contribution to the dems, or anyone for that matter, NAH!
Yeb! proving once again that he is a Democrat in an R jersey.....
Dopey Yeb would eliminate Citizens United other than for Unions and other Dem groups. What a freakin joke.
I wouldn’t. It takes a long time for the mask to come off these guys. Plus then, name recognition would win, and you’d be stuck with Bush, Trump, and Hillary as your candidates.
I almost feel sorry for Jeb at this point. I’m sure that every night he gets a call from his parents, telling him that their good friends the Clintons called again, and just can’t understand why Jeb hasn’t gotten the GOP to roll over for Hillary yet like he promised.
“So Republicans would be disarmed while liberals could use unions and colleges.
Heâs an idiot.”
Precisely. Give the unions the upper hand. Sorry Jeb, but that is a non starter.
Respectfully, I do not believe you understand the CU holding. CU stands for the idea that individuals can come together to form an organization that, in turn, can produce and air political messages. CU lets the little guys do what corporations and the wealthy do now.
It goes in that direction, but it’s still kind of crazy. For example, they can create this huge PAC, but then they can’t coordinate.
Yeb!’s one accomplishment is proving that unlimited campaign contributions cannot buy you a presidency.
Bush just keeps shoving his dddd in his mouth ... maybe he should ask Bernie Sanders to take him as his VP?
I don’t think even the rats would take him.
I am actually stunned at the number of Conservative/Tea Party members I know who have done a 180 on this issue and now agree with the Libs that it needs to be reversed.
I guess year after year of watching the Republicans you send to Congress sell you out to the highest bidder on K-Street will do that to ya.
Gosh, where have I heard that before.
If it’s not Trump, the donors and special interests have a monopoly and we don’t have a choice. If Trump and Dr. Carson weren’t in the mix now we’d have no choice. No matter who you pick among the others, you have the same money driving the elections and the winners.
