WILL JEB BUSH BE NEW COMEBACK KID?
Florida Politics ^ | 2/8/16 | A.G. Gancarski

Watching the Sunday talk shows, if I didn't "know" that Jeb Bush was considered washed up, I would have thought the other campaigns saw him as a real force in Tuesday's balloting.

On ABC's "This Week," both Donald Trump and Marco Rubio laid into Jeb. Trump countered Bush scoring points on him in a Saturday night debate exchange on eminent domain. Rubio, meanwhile, felt the need to get to the right of Bush on abortions during "crisis pregnancy" scenarios.

Bush has been left for dead by pundits in recent weeks and months. The seeming front runner status he enjoyed early in 2015 a memory, it's almost as if there has been a re-calibration and now the pundits underrate him.

We've seen the stories about donors waiting for the green light to jump ship from his campaign. The conventional wisdom is that they would, perhaps, move to Rubio, heir apparent to the establishment line.

A funny thing happened at Saint Anselm College, though. The big losers of Saturday's New Hampshire debate were Rubio, nailed by Chris Christie for his repeated recitations of his 25 second anti-Obama speech. And Trump, whose only play was attacking the booing crowd.

uh.....no.

If the GOPe somehow finds a way to hand him the nomination, over 30 million voters will stay home, and the Democrat will cruise to victory.

Jeb is like a mass rapist, forcing himself on millions of people who don’t want anything to do with him.

The same thing would occur for Trump, Cruz or Palin.

The GOPe doesn’t care if Democrats win, it’s all about keeping corrupt influence going.

If they steal this election, we need riots, a write-in campaign, a revolution.

Anybody who would suggest that Bush is a viable option as a candidate...

Well, I won’t finish that thought.

Not in a million years. You cannot have a comeback if you never had the grassroots support in the first place.

I don't like Jeb's policies, but I like Trump's even less. Normally, if given a lesser of two evils choice, I'd go Jeb over Trump.

But Jeb's SuperPac has so soured me on Jeb as a candidate that I'd vote against him purely out of spite, despite the fact that I think he's a better candidate. That SuperPac should be renamed "Right to Be An A**hole, because that's how it has been operated.

Do not write him off yert. He has one important ally, the RNC and he would not stay in the race and take the humiliation did he not have some assurances from that quarter. Bush has great expectations.

In any particular order?

I actually COULD see a scenario where Trump, Cruz and Rubio emerge in a three-way split, we go to a brokered convention, and the party bigwigs revert to “well, it IS his turn” and nominate Jeb.

It would be a disaster.

Bush is viable as a candidate. The RNC wants him to be the candidate or has told him it wants him. The RNC can make him the candidate, regardless.
