A third community leader who has viewed the video but declined to speak publicly about it because of the sensitivity of the allegations told the Times Union that what he had seen did not support key elements of the women's account.

We have a serious problem when accusations can be so "sensitive" that truthful observations based on video of the incident cannot be made. Political correctness kills. Right now, it is killing "polar bears" in the knockout game. Soon, the direction may be reversed.

So the only reason this incident is getting any scrutiny is that there may have been two white guys involved, how is not clear, and there may have been racial slurs uttered, by whom is not clear.
An all black brawl would not be news at all, apparently, slurs or no slurs.

though the audio quality is often "bad" and sometimes nonexistent

Off topic, but statements like these tick me off. What's the use of having cameras if they are either off, disabled, or take such poor quality vids?

We watch the crime shows and all too often, it is the same old baloney "too fuzzy to make out, wasn't working, etc.". IMO, these cameras are often set up as a feel-good CYA rather than a aid in crime solving and so the cheapest unit is bought.

In the "There Oughta be a Law" category, there should be some standard mandated that would actually help the authorities identify someone using high-quality images, even if it meant a subsidy - it would be a one-time outlay. With all the taxpayers' money peed away, this is one area where it would be well-spent.
