I’m a Mmnning fan...not necessarily a Denver fan.
I wanted the Sheriff to win and felt they could because of their defense.
I believe Cam though he had to simply play better than Manning. And he missed the boat. He really had to play better than the Denver Defense.
IMHO, his focus was wrong and the Denver defense pretty much shut him down and sat him on his backside a whole lot more than he was used to...or thought possible.
IMHO, THAT was the difference in this game.
Manning simply did what he had to do as a good team player, and ti was enough.
I’m not a Manning or Denver fan (Seattle guy). But Manning is beyond washed up and shouldn’t have played the season, let alone the game. Him movement in the pocket reminds me of a 90 year-old trying to navigate in an elevator, and he barely contributed in this game. I take that back—he did contribute two turnovers that were just about the only good things that happened for Carolina all day. That said, I said before the game I was rooting for Denver’s defense. I can’t stand the Cam Newton bullshit and can’t think of anyone who deserves a bitch-slap more than him.
