Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton just gave his critics all the ammunition they need.

Already under fire for how he conducts himself on the field, Newton went silent after his team's 24-10 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday in Super Bowl 50, sulking at the podium and essentially refusing to answer questions.

I didn’t see the halftime show but a musician buddy texted me that Coldplay was faking it as their instruments had no cords or wireless transmitters.

1) He had a bad game because he can't handle the pressure of a good pass rush; 2) he was shown to be a coward by running away from his own fumble when he was in by far the best position to recover it with the game on the line; 3) he sulked and pulled his sore loser act in the post-game.

For those who didn't know him before the game, they know him now.

Having lost an uncle to pancreatic cancer and a husband to lung cancer what you say isn't true. There is NO cure for either of those "horrible" cancers. None.

I never said there was a cure for those cancers. I said => 'Get cured of a horrible cancer, and there's a good chance of living a full natural life. Happens all the time.'

The rest of your post does not get any better, so my advice is that you take a Mulligan.

So you remember Everett for the Rams doing a Cam Newton?

This will bury him for some time. I was never a fan of his but the hits here are ridiculous.

He loves this game and losing the big one will take time.

If people enjoy the NFL and the competition they will understand. This game meant quite a bit for Cam Newton.

He must try again to get back.

The evil on FR is becoming putrid.

Well, the youngster needed a good piece of humble pie and got it. He dont like it. Been watching his little show offs this past year and knew that when they served him the pie, he would not be able to eat of it.

Only 26? In WWII a 26-year old with 20 sorties might become a group captain of 32 P-38’s making long strikes from Italy. He could be arguing before the Supreme Courts of about any State. He could be serving a third tour in Iraq. This is football.

He could simply grow up and act like a man. His comments after the loss to Atlanta were appropriate. He took two steps back tonight.

Only six on Cam. The other was the on the halfback pass they tried to set up.

Found a snippet of video of it:

Cam Newton Disrespects National Anthem

From the video:
Published on Feb 7, 2016
“Cam Newton seemed to be the only male in the stadium who refused to remove his hat or cross his heart during the singing of the National Anthem and US flag presentation at the start of Superbowl 50. NFL needs to teach him some manners!”

I will give him a + for stepping away before speaking his mind.

Give Carolina that catch that they clearly had on the first challenge and the Colts have no score. It was rigged

Coldplay fakes it even when being played on the radio.

Arrogance and self importance are their “raison d’etre”.

I noticed that too, but here’s what struck me: the game is over, and even between series Newton always primps himself with his towel - always. Now here, five minutes after the game and he still has his helmet on. It was like he was trying to hide.

Bingo. He had to win this game for himself, all his past would disappear.
