Here’s a big difference between Trump’s position on building a wall and Cruz’s:
When you pound away on an issue day after day in a campaign, then your election is seen as a mandate on that issue and those that oppose you know that public opinion is against them.
When you give only occasional lip service to an issue, and then are elected, then you’ve merely gone on record to CYA with your base for when you ultimately capitulate and fail to get it passed.
Bearing false witness ranks right up there with adultery and fornication.

Thank you for your kind and civil reply. I understand you believe in Trump, I hope you are right, but only 8 years ago I heard the same thing about Obama, and people were so sure that was true that they gave him a premptive Nobel Peace Prize.
And now, 8 years later we are the worlds largest finicial supporter of terrorism and Russia is on the march while Europe is invaaded by the Caliphate Obungler created. Obama promised peace and prosperity, but delivered WWIII and depression.
Obama and Trump are have the identical speach patter, disjointed emotional speeches long on promise, yet empty on solutions or plans. And in both cases people worship them, and see only what they want by faith.
Donald does not scare me, his followers frighten me. Donald is transparent just like Obama was and is. Donald is who he says he was before wresting the Presidency back from Conservatives became his goal. Then it all changed.
If Trump wins the nomination, the Progressives will nail the last nail in Americas coffin.
Ted could buy us time, Donald will pave the way to Armageddon.

The goal of the NWO is the complete collapse of the old system of nations and sovereignty to be replaced by a world wide dictatorship. Look at Europe, look at the middle east. It's working, only America can stop it, but without reinstating the rule by law and the constitution instead of the rule by fiat we cannot stand. Trump prommises to rule by fiat. Ted promises to reinstate the Constitution.
I can only hope Ted will continue to keep his promise. I have no hope in Trump.`I am an old man, my adventures draw to a close. But in my years this I have found to be true, there is nothing new under the sun. Trump is a type, the same as Obama,and the war is not right or left, but up and down, between good and evil. We better wise up and fast, or there will be hell to pay and faster than anyone expects.
God promises to judge each word, every word from our mouths. I trust in his Grace and in his Judgment. It is also why I depend on His promise through Jesus Christ. Without His saving grace, I am doomed.
But you may see a common theme in my posting, not so much as to defend Ted Cruz, but to bring balance to some of the over the top Ted bashing by pointing out the facts and logical fallacies. A lot of people are letting their emotions in the race rule their mouths and calling down judgment on themselves. Some moderate, some ignore.
Some are not slanderers, some choose to continue and become just that. Thinking the Internet gives them complete anonymity they press on forgetting God has their IP address.
Ted does not need my help, his exempelary record stands on its own, not perfect, but in this world what is? Donalds record stands in plain view too. The Bible warns that if you are Christs, the world will hate you because you are no longer of the world. Donald is clearly of this world, this thread shows Ted may actually be Christ's. I hope so. America has not had a chance to vote for a rightious man in decades.

Cruz and other politicians are great at talking about things, however, actually getting something done is another story.

Trump needs to come up with his own ideas instead of riding on other qualified candidates coat tails but then he would not have the millions and millions if his pappy would not have given it to him.

How the hell do you expect one Senator to build the wall on his own?
Better yet, how the hell do you expect Trump to build the wall on his own if he manages to fool enough of you into voting for him? His empty promises will be just that.

The loser currently at1600 has done SO much damage to this country, it begs the questions where to start regarding cleaning things up. I have been on FR almost since the beginning. I have always thought of it as a “Conservative” site. Many different people but mostly conservative. This last 6 months with people foaming at the mouth for Trump has me embarrassed to be reading the comments. Trump (unless you are 20 years old) has always been a space cadet who is east coast liberal with an occasional right wing rant to shake things up. He never has been a conservative and now says read meat things to get people riled up and you buy it??? Ted Cruz is the man who is a conservative like we all agree with. There has never been any doubt about that since I first heard his name. Now you people think Trump will do anything thats not for Trumps own gain? Some entertain Rubio who got elected and then sold out immediately? I even hear Christie people trying to forget he damned near endorsed Obama? Unbelievable.
