When I watched the replay of him deliberately turning his back on a dropped ball in the 4th quarter and scurrying to safety I thought I had never seen such a blatant act of cowardice. Risk losing a franchise player? Or maybe ... retain a slim (at best) chance at the Super Bowl?

All he had to do was fall on the ball, like every other NFL QB would have done. They were only 6 points down with plenty of time on the clock.
That was the worst play I have ever seen from a QB and it will haunt him forever.

Risk losing a franchise player? Or maybe ... retain a slim (at best) chance at the Super Bowl? Integrity is like that. You either give your all, or you don't. And he's supposed to be the leader of a team giving their all.
Well he's not, and now his team knows it. What's that do to his franchise value?

Yes, risk it; it is the last game of the season. Other QBs have fallen on the ball and won Super Bowls.
