Wasn't Romney initially declared the winner of the 2012 Iowa Caucus only to have it turn out later that Santorum won?

Iowa is such a joke. This year we had the coin tosses - all of them just happened to be in favor of the "establishment" candidate.

I think Iowa should be moved to the back of the primary process next time. Let them have their silly caucus in June.

Actually, Iowa provides a very important service by helping to cull out the candidates, so that by the time SC and Super Tuesday rolls around we have a better idea about all them. Iowans are very proud of their work.
