Want to know why so many here are put out by Cruz’s tactics? Because they are seeing something that many have not seen before; a member of the GOP who plays to win. A member of the GOP who can and will play rough.

Not used to that are we?

Ted Cruz is EXACTLY the kind of conservative I want in the White House. Someone who is not afraid fight and to bayonet the wounded.

If he will do stuff like this to win against his own people, what do you think he will be willing to do to Hillery and then to Harry Reid?

Ted Cruz is EXACTLY the kind of conservative I want in the White House. SOMEONE WHO IS NOT AFRAID TO FIGHT AND TO BAYONET THE WOUNDED.

IF HE WILL DO STUFF LIKE THIS TO WIN AGAINST HIS OWN PEOPLE, WHAT DO YOU THINK HE WILL BE WILLING TO DO.....

WOW?!? Look at what you wrote...Ted is not afraid to “fight and to Bayonet the wounded”...which are “his own people” to win...

Hmmm...got friendly fire much?!?!

My concern is if he is willing to bayonet the wounded who are his own people, what else is he willing to do to win??...or stay??...or reward his people??....

This is what the Democrats do....not born-again Christians. And this “ends justify the means” mentality is exactly what we have been dealing with for at least the past 7 years. I don’t want it anymore.

I know Atwater was good at dirty tricks—He played rough—which may be OK against “enemies,” but I don’t know if he did it against friends—and Cruz said on stage last night that Ben Carson is a friend....Frankly, Atwater is not my hero, and I didn’t approve of his “ends justifies the means” campaign tactics just because he was on my side. It was sketchy at best....Being Sketchy is not what Christ taught, but that is between him and God.

What bothers me is that Ted Cruz has consistently put his born-again faith out there—up front and center, yet he does not act like a Christian when he is willing to “bayonet the wounded,” and is “willing to do it to his own people”....This is NOT the general election...Carson is NOT the “enemy” to use your military lingo...

BTW, who exactly who do you think are “his own people”? Christians? Conservatives? Not sure, but you seem very pleased.

BTW, Rather than raising his hands in prayer to invoke the power of the almighty for Christians to get out and vote for him one minute and then bayoneting a wounded like Cruz did, last night Donald Trump literally and figuratively stood by Ben Carson when ABC flubbed the intro stranding Carson in the hallway so he was unable to take the stage. Of course Cruz and Bush brushed by the pair unaware or un able to care.

I thought Trump showed a lot of Class to help Carson—Trump could have brushed by Carson like the others, but he stood with him. Trump’s actions were some of the most Christian and classy that I have seen in a long time.

So, according to you, Cruz believed a report from CNN after railing all these months about how dishonest the media is? Oh please, you people are so ignorant.

Quote “the whopper”. What did his campaign say that was factually incorrect? Quote it for me.

Sending messages from his smartphone is telling people?

Get real.

I like Cruz. Cruz can’t win because he’s not strong enough to fight the media.

The emails/voicemails sent out. Posted on numerous threads/news outlets/twitter, etc.

Again, let it go.

“Cruz can’t win because he’s not strong enough to fight the media.”

Cruz is the best person out there at articulating what he believes.
Imitating an obnoxious jerk like Trump isn’t always the best way to stand up to the media or someone else.
Reagan did a magnificent job and he was nothing like Trump.

Read it again. Cruz didn’t tell anybody Carson was quitting! All I’m saying is that at the exact time his camp was sending out messages about Carson quitting, Cruz was standing next to me looking at his smart phone. I can’t imagine he didn’t see the messages. I did NOT see his device/phone ever. Not only did I not see what was on the phone, I didn’t see a phone at all. But having put the pieces together after the fact I’m positive that’s what he was looking at. Sorry but it’s true.

Cruz had nothing to do with this issue. His campaign reported the CNN report, as did the Rubio’s and Paul’s campaigns, I might add. If Trump had any ground game they would have been reporting it, too.

Trump doesn’t pretend to be Reagan. He’s not like Reagan. Right now we need a head ripping problem solver as we are circling the drain. That would be Trump.

Seriously?

They’ve been ALL over these boards, and elsewhere....for days.

Since you’re too lazy to look up the threads yourself.......scroll through...you’ll see what CNN said and what CRuz camp tweeted/sent as voicemails.

The night of the caucuses, the Cruz campaign called and sent messages to Iowa precinct captains suggesting that Carson could drop out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination. The messages told the precinct captains that they should encourage people to caucus for Cruz instead.

Even CRuz went through it, at the debate, last night. Where have you been? Just Google “cruz apologizes to carson at debate” and you’ll get over 3M hits.

If Dr. Ben Carson wasn't black, his sorry-@ss fraudulent political campaign would have been booed off the American national stage MONTHS ago.

BS. I am not into token politics.

Cruz was smart enough to NOT do it - let his campaign people do the dirty work and then apologize for them.

Steve King said looks like he [Carson] is out. You know Steve King—National Co-Cair of the Cruz campaign.
Turns out King is as sleazy as the rest of them.

Sigh. You want to call Cruz a liar but I’m the one who is supposed to substantiate your claims. Sheesh.

From http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/02/04/ted-cruz-voicemails-ben-carson-exclusive-audio/ One voicemail:

“[inaudible]…from the Ted Cruz campaign, calling to get to a precinct captain, and it has just been announced that Ben Carson is taking a leave of absence from the campaign trail, so it is very important that you tell any Ben Carson voters that for tonight, uh, that they not waste a vote on Ben Carson, and vote for Ted Cruz. He is taking a leave of absence from his campaign. All right? Thank you. Bye.”

What is false? Carson is not campaigning.

Other voicemail:

“Hello, this is the Cruz campaign with breaking news: Dr. Ben Carson will be [garbled] suspending campaigning following tonight’s caucuses. Please inform any Carson caucus goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted instead. Thank you. Good night.”

Again, given that CArson has no campaign events listed on his website and told CNN he wouldn’t go to NH or SC, and told Hannity that if he didn’t win the first couple primaries he would quit.... what exactly is the lie?

The calls should have clarified that it was a CNN report announcing Carson’s lack of campaigning, rather than the CArson camp directly - although CNN got the announcement from the Carson camp...

Keep in mind that Carson had already suspended his campaign once, to tend to his team after one was killed in a car crash. Suspending campaigning is not the same thing as totally quitting, as Carson’s people had already seen. In fact, had Carson ever re-started his campaigning after having suspended it?

CArson’s people SHOULD be thinking about what to do, given that their candidate is not really trying to win. If they really care about the outcome of this election they would want to know that Carson wasn’t intending to actually try to win.

Seems like what he’s most interested in right now is b!tching, and that turns me off of him, even though I have defended him and spoken well of him.

I should not have responded here after saying I was going to drop this. This is distracting from much more important things. No more.

I have not called him that. So cut the crap.

I’ve said - just like multiple news outlets...and even CRuz himself has said - that his campaign sent/called that CNN report out.

Time to get a grip.

Trump and his whining sycophants have spent more time on this than Carson has.
