They both may be replaced with more viable candidates at the Democrat Convention - Biden or Elizabeth Warren. I think you're on to something there. If Hillary falters, the Dem power brokers could float a Biden/Warren ticket. Biden would satisfy the Dem establishment, while Warren would (somewhat) mollify the Sanders supporters.

If the Democrat elite are going to rig the convention, they’ll go all-the-way and put BOTH Biden & Warren o the ticket. That way the Sanders faction can have a commie on the ticket.
