Thanks for posting that ziravan.

Rubio’s tactic of jabbing when jabbed and pivoting to conservative red meat schtick to parry scrutiny of his record needed calling out.

The D’s millions will shine brilliant lights on Rubio’s record making conservatives stay home.

Better to shine the light brightly now.

Go Christie!

And Christie never talks about he knows how to fight ISIS because he was a US Attorney and he’s the only one who can prosecute Hillary.....

I agree with you about Trump - he doesn't have a set script. And that is refreshing. And I like his littany of what is wrong and needs fixing.

But I still want to know on everything he says he will do, HOW? He will build the wall - where will he get the money? He will deport all 11M illegals (probably closer to 20M), but HOW (he says good management, but that is not a plan)? He will place a large tariff on this or that country, but HOW? He will replace obamacare with something "great" that "everyone will love" - HOW and with what?

Unless he is planning to be the dictator in chief, I want to know HOW. Good management and good negotiating only goes so far. Especially with the Demoncrats in the Senate able to block everything (unless he is talking about negotiating with them).

It’s called the stump speech, all candidates do it in every campaign.

-yes, pro-lifers have no business supporting Trump.
-fairly lame events by Rubio, the surge is over.
-it will be a long year for pro-lifers if Cruz doesn’t stay alive.
-Rubio may well finish 5th in NH. Behind Bush and Kasich.
-is it conceivable that Rubio finishes 6th behind Christie?

Kasich may be the primary beneficiary of the Rubio fizzle up there. And, at best, he can be a regional Midwest candidate going forward after a 2nd-place NH result.

Cruz is so limited in New Hampshire because the state is so hostile toward candidates perceived to be “religious right”. The most unchurched state in the country.

All of this bodes well for Trump.

My knowledge of New Hampshire is very dated. Last night's debate revealed (without disagreement) that narcotics overdoses are the second leading cause of death there. Either NH has a verrrrry low death rate or that state has undergone truly monstrous change since 1972 when I worked the primary there.

The Hew Hampshire I became familiar with had a Democrat Party which was largely made up of very conservative french Canadians who were called Grover Cleveland Democrats: Hard money, low taxes, socially conservative Catholics, etc. IIRC, New Hampshire allows Democrats to vote in Republican primaries. If Manchester Democrats are still what they were in 1972, might that not boost Cruz and/or Rubio? You have, no doubt, worked New Hampshire a LOT more recently than I. What do you think?

It has been observed that the Democrat Party offers to such Manchester Democrats only a choice between a wild-eyed nutty socialist and Bernie Sanders. The Manchester Democrats to whom I refer were largely employed by the mills in Manchester. The mills are probably gone now and they are exactly the kind of folks most targeted for economic destruction by Obozo whatever he may say and they would know it. They may also have died out.

God bless!

the Libertarian streak in NH has made it a marijuana state ... and other drugs.

it is also the most unchurched state in the country. Conservatives who don’t attend church. So the non-attending Congregationalists supported RonPaul and now Trump. The churchgoing Congos are the county committee types. I cannot imagine those stuffy Yanks are supporting Trump.

Yes, the urban Reagan Dems came out in droves 8 years ago for Hillary in an effort to stop Obama and pulled the upset ... who had just won Iowa. Won’t happen this time.
aND THEir kids moves to the chic small towns like Exeter and became white-collar commuters.

The ones who are registered D cannot vote in the GOP primary. The unaffiliated voters can vote in either primary and will go with a GOP ballot, largely.

Their man is Congressman Frank Guinta, former mayor of Manchester. He hasn’t endorsed in this race.

Trump is too much of a perfect fit for the rural counties of NH GOP. A populist, non-religious, non-interventionist.
He will bury the opposition outside of the 3-large eastern counties.

I have not seen a single pro-life TV commercial. the pro-life groups in NH have become inactive. and Cruz is saving his money for the South.

Manchester Diocese is another place that became a playground for nutty clerics.

“A Pew survey showed that the religious affiliations of the people of New Hampshire was as follows: Protestant 34%, Catholic 29%, ... and non-religious at 26%.[36]

A survey suggests that people in New Hampshire and Vermont[37] are less likely than other Americans to attend weekly services and only 54% say that they are “absolutely certain there is a God” compared to 71% in the rest of the nation.[38][39] New Hampshire and Vermont are also at the lowest levels among states in religious commitment. In 2012, 23% of New Hampshire residents in a Gallup poll considered themselves “very religious”, while 52% considered themselves “non-religious”.[40] According to the Association of Religion Data Archives (ARDA) the largest denominations are the Roman Catholic Church with 311,028 members; The United Church of Christ with 26,321 members; and the United Methodist Church with 18,029 members.[41]”

The population mix looks like a cross between the Pacific Northwest, with high percentages of people of English colonial descent, and southern New England, with large numbers of Irish, French Canadian, and Italian descended Catholics. (Unlike the rest of New England, there is some Scots-Irish presence, as evidenced by towns named Londonderry.) The low percentage of religious belief is also reminiscent of the coastal Northwest and the northern Rockies, outside the Mormon areas. While liberal by national standards, New Hampshire remains moderate by the standards of its home region, though not as conservative as it was when it elected Meldrim Thompson or when the Manchester Union Leader was solidly conservative.
