I've met or studied with Catholic and Zen monks, Buddhist abbots and nuns, Hindu Sadhus - all of these religious scholars have an air of peace, humanity and humility.

I'll grant I've never spent a lot of time with Muslim scholars, but those one sees on various media seem to be dark, ugly, angry people whose "studies" are simply detailed justifications for their anger and violence. This fellow has that same look.
