Again, as a Christian, I see it differently. Carson won’t accept Cruz’s apology until and unless Cruz does what CARSON thinks is right, and that is profoundly unbiblical. The Bible doesn’t say, “Forgive people only if they jump through enough of your hoops.” And assuming Cruz is a Christian, then Cruz firing someone for what Cruz believes is an honest mistake would be unjust, and Carson, as a Christian, has no right to ask it of him.

Ironically, if Cruz were the typical politician, he would have fired the guy long time past, just to get Carson off his back. From my perspective, the longer this goes on, the better Cruz looks, because he is refusing to sacrifice someone for purely political reasons.

Cruz sacrificed Carson for purely political reasons.

For some reason, you seem to keep overlooking who started this ball rolling.

Whether or not Carson forgives Cruz has no bearing at all on what Cruz chose to do.
