Yes, Carson is a neophyte. This is his first campaign, as much is obvious.

And Cruz is a snake. This isn’t his first campaign, as much is obvious.

He did what he did, man. You can blame Carson for it all you want, but he didn’t actually do anything.

Cruz did.

So there you go, and Carson is right when he says voters will decide.

Of the tweets, yes. Of the broadcast comments, no.

"Most voters do care about integrity and character."

So...how is Trump's character? Do you remember when people on FreeRepublic criticized Clinton for cheating on his one wife? Trump has admitted cheating on all his wives.

I saw it.

I understand what happened.

I expect that you are biased, because you do want to see Cruz in a bad light.

I think I said “possibly illegal” and if you read my other posts you’d realize I said “it’s all politics.”

The point you’re missing is that St. Ted of Abilene has in many ways set himself up as being above the nastiness and has a holier than thou image which can only be damaged by such activities. I don’t care-—they all do it. But you can’t hold yourself up as “holy” and above this then not expect to take a hit when you do it. That’s why Trump is pretty much invulnerable to this stuff because he never said he was the “pure” or “unblemished” candidate.

Now CNN is a paragon for truth and would never slander a Conservative? I think you and your compadres have lost all reason!

PT Barnam was right!

“And I saw an article yesterday that Saint Raphael was stuffing his pockets with hundreds of thousands of dollars of anonymous donor money.”

I don’t know about that, but the Cruz campaign bought his own books and sold them at $85 a pop...donors bought the books, then bought the books again....

“Based on the $122,000+ that Cruz’s campaign paid HarperCollins, and considering the $27.99 retail price and the typical author discount of 50%, the Cruz campaign likely purchased 8,000-10,000 copies of A Time For Truth. That’s a hefty profit for HarperCollins and a huge profit for Cruz if the campaign is able to sell those copies at $85 a pop. In essence, the campaign is taking money from Cruz’s donors to buy books, many of which they will sell right back to those donors at a massive markup.” [snip]

https://newrepublic.com/article/123156/why-did-ted-cruz-spend-122000-his-own-books ...there are plenty of other sources.

Trump sold his last book, ‘Crippled America’ at rallies and book signings at regular price...

Has Dr Carson asked trump for an apology yet? No? It was trump’s nasty attacks which drove Carson’s polls down.

Big difference between pointing out the absurdity of the man's own statements in public with plenty of time for Ben to respond and not backing down versus deliberately distributing a lie behind the scenes when it will be too late for Ben to respond once he finds out, and then issuing repeated non apologies blaming his own staff and CNN. Nice try Team Ted. Ted was my first pick early on, I met him in June, but it has become increasingly clear, that he is not an executive, and would never win the general election. I wouldn't be surprised if he falls out of the top 3 in NH Tuesday. The GOP establishment likes him around to split the non establishment vote. But go ahead and enjoy your Cruzade while it lasts.

Ted must be guilty and a horrible person. He also must be a fraud and a fake Christian. His history is ripe with many examples of fraud like stealing people’s land and never defending rights of the unborn. He should drop out for the only one really defending all parts of the Constitution is Trump. Carson also has no responsibility in the matter and truly is acting as a Christian should by speaking ill of Cruz behind his back.

Heck, in October he took the month off to sell books! You can’t beat that for the “didn’t actually do anything” category!

Carson said pointedly that if the meeting with Cruz is scheduled, that does not mean the the senator will be absolved.

Some "Christian." He's preemptively denying forgiveness? If Carson thinks he had any chance of getting any more votes than he did, he's delusional.

Let’s see if you have double standards? When has Trump ever apologized when he has stepped in it?

The irony is thick on this thread.

Either he did something wrong, in which case he better explain his previous mistatement and fire the person responsible,

You don't have to fire everyone the minute they make a mistake. Ever heard of second chances?

When was Carson’s last campaign event? He didn’t go to NH until the day of the debate. Where are his other events?

This doesn’t look like someone with the energy to be POTUS.

That being said, it doesn’t matter what I or anyone else thinks. He is finished.

“Looks like.” That isn’t a statement of fact. Carson STILL looks like he’s out. He’s looked that way pretty much from the moment he got in. This is a vanity campaign meant to sell books. That’s why he’s previously suspended his campaign to go on a book tour.

Uh exactly why would Cruz and company spend a lot of time and money getting the goods on Carson?? Some people here must be new to politics. Anyone who knows politics in grade 1 knew from the beginning Ben is a very nice man - unsuited to either political campaigns or cutthroat politics. In short, he was going no where.

I find it even sadder that people judge Cruz for Christian principles for what his staffer did, yet turn a blind eye to the Evangelical Trumps long history of Adultery, fornication he brags about. And ignore his political history to claim he will defeat the people his support put into power.

It’s down right evil.

Carson is stealing votes by virtue of running a hopeless vanity campaign for no other reason than to raise his profile and sell books. He’s stealing valuable airtime that we need to solve this country’s problems and stealing votes from serious candidates.

If someone had done that to Cruz it would be a different song here.

CNN would never speculate that Cruz was suspending his campaign because Cruz wouldn't leave Iowa early and stop campaigning for a week to grab some fresh clothes.

And if someone were to tell caucus goers that Cruz was dropping out they would be laughed out of the room because the very idea is so absurd.

Fact is Carson's campaign did announce he was not going to New Hampshire or South Carolina. And as it turns out, Carson did not campaign or even bother to show up in New Hampshire until Saturday evening.

And now Cruz asks to talk to Carson in private, and Carson goes running to the press about it.

Carson is a fraud.
