What was the timing of the van that was ahead of everyone else? How far ahead?

Was it stopped, questioned, searched?

Why or why not?

Did they encounter the roadblock? Was it set up later?

Seems like Fincium and Bundy were the targets, and were ratted on by an insider, enabling the selective trap.

The planned timing was 15 minutes ahead. The first van containted a woman who along with her seven children who were going to sing gospel songs at the meeting in John Day.

The presence of police, law enforcement activity wasn’t detected from that vehicle until they reached a point in southern Grant County, next to Harney County and close to John Day, dozens of miles north of the deadly action.

An actual roadblock was reported set up at that point.

A cell phone call was made from the first vehicle to those coming up from the south but spotty cell phone service mean’t the call didn’t get through to those other vehicles dozens of miles south in Harney County.

The ‘operation’ may have already begun by that point.

No one in the first vehicle was on their arrest list and neither was the 18 year old girl (Victoria Sharp) who was part of the gospel singing family in Finicum’s vehicle nor Mark McConnell in the third.
