McGuire, whose state organization, like the national party apparatus, is solidly behind Clinton, rejected the request, telling the Register in an interview Tuesday, "These are the final results." Democrats have never released actual head counts in Iowa caucuses, and McGuire flatly said they would not be released this time either.
On Thursday, the Register published an editorial headlined, "Something smells in the Democratic Party," denouncing state party officials for refusing to agree to an audit or release details of the voting. "What happened Monday night at the Democratic caucuses was a debacle, period," the Register wrote. "Democracy, particularly at the local party level, can be slow, messy and obscure. But the refusal to undergo scrutiny or allow for an appeal reeks of autocracy."
The newspaper argued that the results, with "two tenths of 1 percent [separating] Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton," were "too close not to do a complete audit of results." It continued: "Too many accounts have arisen of inconsistent counts, untrained and overwhelmed volunteers, confused voters, cramped precinct locations, a lack of voter registration forms and other problems."
The editorial alluded to the fact that ties for six county delegates were decided, in accordance with party caucus rules, by coin flips. Clinton won all six.

Here’s two lovely ladies from the Des Moines Register trying to explain what happened at the Dem caucus, but without blaming the Dems who goofed up.

Sanders’ followers, with no faculty for logic, were OK with Hillary’s proposal to settle the ties.
Hey its ‘Rats world deluxe in Demland and some of the vermin stole Bernie’s Iowan cheese. Its Hellary’s game and the old commie is just playing in it——for now. He’s still goes on kissing her butt as the weakling loser that he is.
Think of it as Bernie got his votes ‘redistributed’. Hellary’s goons went commie on Bernie and took his excess for the good of mother DNC. Pay your ‘fair share’ of votes Bernie like a good little worker bee for your queen.
With the long history of demodummies cheating on elections, does anyone think for one second these same demodummies would not cheat on their own kind? Really? They are just getting warmed up for events yet to come.

The only thing I can figure is, they picked Bernie to run against Hillary just to try and make it look legit but never figured on Bernie outdoing the future convict. It all has backfired and they are having to resort to ‘in your face’ trickery to force the outcome to Hillary.
Bingo. Bernie was just supposed to be a foil so the DEMe candidate could be shown "winning" the primary. It would provide zero publicity if Hillary were just handed the nomination and it would puncture the illusion the voters control the process.
However, the DEMe has now lost control of the process and it's not going according to plan. Much like the GOPe has lost control and they're preselected candidate Jeb(!) is now polling in single digits. The whole GOPe and DEMe control structure is in disarray and in danger of collapsing. Good.
It appears the dead voters have risen to vote in the Democrat primaries.
If you are a Hillery supporter they really believe she won even when pointed out how statistically improbable it was or any of the other funny shenanigans. They do not care she is possibly about to be indited, they do not care if it leads to a mess at their convention and Obama steps in to save the day.
They do care about the tiniest rumor on evil republicans.
