“Chamber-friendly loopholes in his position on immigration “

No one has a stricter rule on immigration than Cruz. His position is stricter than Trump in general even though Trump took a firmer stand on Muslims immigrating when we cannot determine who might be a terrorist. Cruz never, as far as I know, supported that position (though he should).

“he wants to do a VAT tax to replace corporate taxes”

Cruz will do everything he can to cut wasteful government spending and lower taxes overall. There is no one I personally trust more on the issue than him. Surely you realize that even if there is a better Republican on taxes, no Democrat will lower taxes or cut government spending or waste.

There is a big difference in saying Cruz is good but candidate X is better, as opposed to saying Cruz is bad. He is the best we have. He is not perfect. No one is.

“Ted won’t ask his wife to quit Goldman, Sachs”

Pretty sure she will quit if he is President or VP.

Oh, and besides Dole, Scott Brown and Lindsey Graham, Trump has the support of Jimmy Carter. What a bunch of losers — they flock to Trump.

...but he's left Chamber-friendly loopholes in his position on immigration that could be "ball game" in out-years for the entire American Experiment,

As opposed to Trump telling you in no uncertain terms he intends to bring the illegals back "rapidly" as legal immigrants?

I’ll never forget how Ted Cruz came out against ethanol subsidies BEFORE the Iowa caucus. THAT is PRINCIPLED, and Sen. Cruz has always been principled.

I guess the Aussies never heard of a filibuster.

Trouble is, many Americans don’t know what a filibuster is either; and their vote counts as much as thoe who do know what it is...

And the writer has a point...all Hilary Clinton has to do is show clips of the exhausted Cruz reading ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ and the people who don’t make politics a big part of their lives are going to say ‘This guy is a blithering idiot, why would I vote him for president?’...

I don't support Trump except as an opponent of Beastwoman or Bernie Sanders. She's old SDS/New Left and he's an open Communist in all but name, like Obama.

I prefer Ted Cruz, but am very unhappy to hear that his immigration position has more leaks than the Hindenburg, and that he has a Chamber/NAM (National Association of Manufacturers)/Business Roundtable-hardpushed VAT proposal stashed in his kitbag as well.

It is very disheartening to see these anti-People proposals salted all through the various candidate platform statements.

The RiNO's keep talking about how they need to get the Middle to vote for them ..... and then they want to push their masters' taxes off on people in the form of a VAT/sales tax. Which, of course, will end up piled on top of their income taxes.

I don’t support Cruz. If I had my druthers it would be Gilmore. I just get tired of people having to read into Cruz while Trump is blatant about what he plans to do and his backers are in denial fantasy land. As to Cruz’ immigration plan, I suggest you read it carefully instead of relying upon what you hear.

I watched about six hours of Ted's filibuster. You could take any portion of it and it would read like a classroom composition.

At the end of the night he talked about reading "Green Eggs and Ham" to his daughter, and read a portion from the book.

And that's ALL that the media cares about, because the media only cares about caricaturing conservatives and promoting its Leftist agenda.

Cruz caught being consistent again.

In an interview with The New Yorker, he told how he'd resisted the pull of moderate republicans to a centrist approach his whole life.

"That's been true for my entire lifetime, he said.

"The chattering classes have consistently said, 'You crazy Republicans have to give up on what you believe and become more like Democrats.' And, I would note, every time Republicans do that we lose."

TrusTED.

Or trust the guy who spoke fondly about Canadian and Scottish government-run healthcare a few months ago.

Right wing hardliner? Nope, no bias there.

I heard an Australian say recently that his country has gone completely PC.

He also said that the party elites simply choose the candidates for election. So the grassroots has no influence at all over the government.
