Letter perfect -- and far deeper than the others. His answer are so much more thoroughly thought out that many folks miss many of the relevant details. For example, how many caught -- or even had a chance of understanding -- his advocacy of the use of tilt-rotor aircraft on the border?

Cruz's problem is that we have a dumbed-down, superficial electorate (and sadly, FR populace), nowadays. Those who can fully appreciate his prowess are well out on the + tail of the distribution.
So, we may wind up with a scowling rabble-rouser, rather than a brilliant statesman, as President...
Cruz has been running as an outsider but sadly he's stuck on the inside.

You’ve got a very good point throughout your post exchange....and yes we have seen this even on FR....which has both disappointed and astonished me.
I do think though, that some FR’s are simply caught up in the web Trumps spread and the “stuff” he slathers for the entertainment factor, to keep the media engaged as well..it works for “fans” but we have yet to see if it does for “voters”.... So far it hasn’t....
Since I do believe that God raises up and takes down nation leaders....my question is will he give us what our country ‘needs’.... or will we get what we deserve?
I am convinced fully Cruz is the man God has ‘finally’ given us.....but I’m not so convinced at all people have the ability to discern the difference to make a wise choice.
