Cruz handled it as well as anyone could have. He explained it again and when Carson continued the sad and unbecoming whining he did apologize again.
Cruz should never have tried to offer “facts” as a defense that are clearly in dispute. Why don’t you watch CNN’s segment and then comment. They just said Cruz KNOWINGLY lied tonight, maybe they said he knowingly made false statements. Whatever the exact wording, that is a pretty strong indictment.
Actually Carson pointed out the Cruz’s facts were inaccurate.Cruz said hours later CNN confirmed Carson was not dropping out.Carson said a tweet from CNN minutes later said he was not dropping out.
CNN is still lying about their reporting that caused the Carson kerflufle. Pointing to their tweets while Cruz was pointing to their TV reporting. CNN TV coverage has been reported to have been in in Cruz HQ. Did Cruz’s team even see the CNN tweets? We know Rubio’s did and acted on them. And Carson gets blame for making the idiotic report to CNN in the first place. But tonight’s viewers saw Cruz make a nice apology and explanation, followed by Carson being a little jerk twice and Trump a huge one at the end. And the folks in NH will remember their new vocabulary word, Trumpertantrum.
