if ships bring weapons, and those weapons are used to attack Israel, Israel at that point would have every right to turn Gaza into a parking lot.

Perhaps not all of Gaza, but you might recall the fate of Arafat International, in Gaza. Opened in late 1998. Actually funded by Arabs. Important Americans attended the opening.

Amazing, take the fluff out of Sufa's (Arafat) hair, she looks a little like Hillary. Yasser International had a lifespan of less than 3 years. The Euros went nuts when Israel bulldozed it. But not a total loss, On 22 July 2010, 7,203 Gazan children between the ages of 6 and 15 participated in setting a new Guinness World Record for the simultaneous dribbling of basketballs on the airport's undamaged tarmac ramp. If it's built I see a swimming record in Abbas Seaport in it's future.

Turkey is planning to invest $5 billion in reconstructing the Hamas stronghold of Gaza including a seaport

Bllcrp. Turkey will never kick in 5 billion. They will try to get others to fund this Gaza seaport such as those European pussy nations that have been welcoming in Muslim "refugee" invaders. After all the years of liberal European nations and NGOs ragging on Israel and making things difficult for Israel to fend off rabid Muslims...... with the current Muslim invasion of Germany, Sweden etc we now know they were never entitled to any respect. We now know how degenerate and deranged the European leaders and governments are. I am generalizing of course

Israel is allowing Turkey to survey and study the seaport site but will never allow it to be built. Partly because it will be too close to Israel offshore oil and gas projects. Partly because weaponry will be smuggled in.
