Does the fact that Cruz met with a gay donor make him less conservative? Or is this another double standard?
Cruz met with a gay donor and (here's the important part) didn't compromise his position on marriage and other "gay rights" issues.
Meanwhile, Trump is asked a question by a lesbian, and he promises "forward motion."
“Does the fact that Cruz met with a gay donor make him less conservative? Or is this another double standard?”
Cruz is blameless....on everything.
And you hate Jesus for asking.
“Does the fact that Cruz met with a gay donor make him less conservative? Or is this another double standard”
No, not at all! It was a meeting of gays who supported the state of Israel and they wanted to thank him for his support of Israel, and to make campaign contributions. Cruz did say that moves against gay marriage would not be the primary thing he would pursue when he first became president, and there are other pressing things that must come first. This is a far way from Trump pledging full support for gay “rights.” But not to worry! Trump doesn’t mean anything he says anyway!
The gay donors were not pushing for Cruz to endorse non-traditional marriage. Most homosexuals just want to be left alone and despise homosexual activists.
Cruz is only less conservative on gay rights only if he took money from them. Oh! But wait! He did.
Well, according to those opposed to Cruz his meeting with gay donors mattered. But those same people will tell us that Trump’s position - pro-gay - does not matter.

So if one gay donor likes Cruz’ financial plan that somehow is the same thing as supporting gay marriage?
