Trump Vows "Forward Motion" On Gay "Equality"
Conservative Review ^ | February 05, 2016 | CR Wire

Posted on 02/05/2016 11:29:29 AM PST by newgeezer

New York billionaire Donald Trump promises "forward motion" on so called gay rights if elected president.

While speaking with Bay Windows publisher Sue O'Connell Friday, Trump spoke about his wishes to unite the country on gay and lesbian issues.

According to a report by Bay Windows:

Trump, in the recent past has supported liberal positions, and though often criticizing and singling out specific groups he has not attacked the gay community. Now he shows his true leftist view points in an interview just days before the New Hampshire primary where he leads in the polls.

So what does Cruz suggest we do with gay people?

Luke 17
Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2 It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 So watch yourselves.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4 If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."

What do the words Rebuke / Repent / Forgive mean in today's RINO NewSpeak dictionary?

I'm pretty sure Cruz knows what they mean in the context of  Luke 17.

And you think that stance is going to win him the general election based on what you see of society today?

I don't care it it "wins" him one vote. Should we take our moral (and political) positions on the strength of their popularity?

Do what ever you like but that’s the same reasoning that gave us four more years of Obama.

You are 180 degrees wrong. The Republican Party lost in 2008 because they nominated the "electable" candidate instead of actually standing for something.

Besides that, Trump's liberal positions don't seem to be making him more popular.

And finally, yes, I will stand and vote for a moral position even if I am the only one left to do so.

Sooooooooo...........you think the last election was in 2008? Have you been asleep for four years? Perhaps you should change your handle to Rip Van Winkle.

What do you want to do? Discriminate against Gays?

That’s the alternative. There is nothing about Trump wanting to give them special treatment or gay marriage.
The BS is flowing freely in freeperville today!

Donald Trump: Opposes Nationwide Marriage Equality

Marriage : Trump has been a consistent opponent of marriage equality. He said that he opposed it because he was a “traditional” guy, choosing to support domestic partnership benefits instead. Trump later reversed himself and said he also opposed civil unions. Despite a brief flirtation with “evolving” in 2013, Trump has consistently maintained his opposition to marriage equality......After the Supreme Court ruling, Trump said the court had made its decision and, although he disagreed with the ruling, he did not support a constitutional amendment that would allow states to re-ban marriage equality. He later said he would appoint Supreme Court judges who would be committed to overturning the ruling.

Trump Said He Would “Strongly Consider” Appointing Judges To Overturn Same-Sex Marriage Decision. Asked on Fox News Sunday “WALLACE: But — but just to button this up very quickly, sir, are you saying that if you become president, you might try to appoint justices to overrule the decision on same-sex marriage?” TRUMP: “I would strongly consider that, yes.” [Fox News Sunday, 1/31/2016; VIDEO]

A typo is a misspelling i.e. beleive instead of believe. I don’t think 2008 instead of 2012 classifies as a typo.

Newbie?? Troll be gone??? (LOL) I’ve been here for 12 years and have been a regular donor to the Freepathons as my finances would allow. Your attempted bullying, which is wasted on me, is a perfect example of why these Freepathons drag on so long.

I don’t know why the GOP picked Mitt Romney last time but it was what it was. When we were left with him as the choice I looked at the man. He had a pretty normal sounding upbringing. He graduated from Brigham Young University which was the largest religious university with a strict honor code. He had served as a missionary. Married to the same woman since 1969, who he seemed to adore, with no apparent marital drama. He had a large family and grandchildren that he obviously loved. I wasn’t left with any doubt that he loved this country. Even though the Mormon religion is alien to me, it was certainly preferable over what had been going on with the muslim and chief for the past four years.

Yet lo and behold, I was shocked at the number of people, especially here, that REFUSED to go and vote for him because he didn’t meet their extreme right checklist. So how’d that work out for ya?

I have been doing some reconnaissance and while I’m not seeing a whole lot on Trump, Cruz has got their hair on fire with hatred and they will amass against him.

So if Trump is the nominee stay home, bless your heart, and enjoy your life under President Bernie. You have a blessed day.

Day 2 of Trump’s hard left turn.

I tried to warn you people. Trump is a Jackass in Elephant clothing.

I watched this a while back. It is not what trump said. He was talking about trying to get everyone involved in restoring our nation. I don’t mind zinging him when he’s wrong but this not the place to focus.

His comments yesterday were far more troubling

Now we have today. Wait until tomorrow.

The Elephant costume is being shed. The Jackass will emerge.

For the FR trumpeters tell me over and over that Trump is the greatest conservative to have ever graced the earth with his presence.

Haven’t you heard?

It’s changed to “he’s the only one that can save America” now?

Our nominee is going to end up sounding more like Hillary or Bernie by Nov

What ‘gay values’ are left to force on the straight population?

What ‘gay values’ that Congress hasn’t already granted or their ‘judges’ already ruled in their favor on?

Let’s get real here...

Really, what’s left?

From Ted Cruz himself (re: gay marriage): Marriage is a sacrament between one man and one woman. It is the building block of civilization and has strengthened societies for millennia. As a constitutional matter, marriage has traditionally been left to the states, and we should protect the rights of elected state legislatures to define marriage consistent with the values of their citizens.

It would seem, from everything Cruz ever says, and the stance he takes on most social issues, that Cruz wants to leave the whole “gay issue” thing, up to the states to decide, and has stated plainly (and rightly so), that the Federal Government has no business in those affairs (no pun intended).

Oh look another Trump hit piece from Conservative Review, owned by Mark Levin, who is getting paid advertising from the Cruz campaign and Levin’s future son in law, hopes to move to White House if Cruz is elected.

A TrusTed news source.
