It’s funny how Ayers went from a radical in the 60s (if you really believe that) to part of the establishment in education. He is a supporter of the Foundations (Carnegie, Rockefeller and Ford, mostly) that are behind the effort to make America into a collectivist society and the dumbing down of students. Excellent question! Turns out that Mark "Deep Throat" Felt of the FBI was pursuing the Weather Underground. He authorized illegal intelligence operations against the WU which came to light during the Church Committee hearings of the 1970s. He was convicted and fined $5K. POTUS #40 RWR pardoned him. So Ayers walked because the FBI was exposed for its illegal spying.

I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which
have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational
centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination
of 25 million people.
And they were dead serious.
The imaginary social construct of “white privilege” was invented by the Ayer’s group back in the 60’s ...
