Jesus avoided being made king, as the people were going to force Him to be. He didn’t come to run for office.

Maybe Cruz needs to ask for some of that Supernatural Power to help his campaign. Peter Popoff has Miracle Spring water For sale.

Thanks, what you state is so very true!!! This moron, Ted Cruz is nothing more then a modern day “Elmer Gantry”....except Cruz is much worse, bcause he has allowed and coveted the endorsement of fanatic, unconrolled, nutcase, Glenn Beck!!! You had to see Glenn Beck the other evening on “witch” Megyn Kelly’s TV show!!! The both of them were dripping hate from their every word!!! Folks....these are not people to lead “our” Great, United States of America!!! Wise up, people...only one choice this cycle.......DONALD J. Trump!!!

GO Donald Trump!!!

Go populist democrat.

This is repeated very often on FR but doesn't seem to be gaining much traction with FReepers who remember RR's background and how he changed his mind about issues.

For instance, this site's founder and I also once voted Democrat. Until 1980, for me.

What’s sad is that people just don’t understand what’s going on anymore. People realize things are bad and getting worse, but somehow can’t figure out WHY they’re getting worse.

The problem is the American people have become depraved, so depraved they would elect an evil crypto Islamist and probably a crypto homosexual as well, who voted against protecting babies that are born alive.

It wasn’t always this way. Our Founders engineered our laws to be indistinguishable from God’s laws. Abortion and homosexuality were criminalized, for instance. Our Founders did this because they knew that it’s only through obedience to God’s commands that we may receive divine blessings. And blessed we were for the first couple hundred years. We became rich and prosperous because of that obedience.

But Roe was issued in 1973, and by 1982 we were $1 trillion in debt and by 1996 we were $5 trillion in debt. The Lawrence case was issued in 2003, and by 2008 we were $10 trillion in debt. The Obergefell case was issued in 2015, and we’re now $19 trillion in debt.

So we’ve gone from a rich and prosperous nation to one that’s utterly bankrupt, $19 trillion in debt. National depravity has consequences.

The ONLY thing that will bring us back into God’s good graces and His blessings is a turning away from our collective depravity, repenting, and once again becoming obedient to Him. There is no other cure for our ills.

If we were collectively right with God, then our electing a decent candidate would fall into place because He would bless us with the candidate we deserve. But many conservatives, including many on this board, don’t even want to talk about the immorality that underlies every problem we have.

Jesus didn’t come as a king the first time. He came as the suffering servant to atone for our sins. HOWEVER... The second time will be different! And that time is really, really, close. The Great Sign in the Heavens from Revelation 12:1-2 actually, really, literally happens September 23-24, 2017.

“I don’t know anyone who takes their religion seriously who would think that Jesus should rise from the grave and resurrect himself to serve Ted Cruz.”

I take my religion seriously, and Jesus isn’t dead! Hint for the liberal: The grave is EMPTY!

And no, he doesn’t serve Ted Cruz. Jesus is not a genie.

But I do think Cruz is wrong to use the term “body of Christ”. For one thing, Cruz doesn’t control the body of Christ (as I am sure Cruz knows). But it also injects religious belief into a political decision. I’m going to vote for a President, not a pastor, so I expect him to talk from a political viewpoint.

While Christians do vote much more conservatively than non-Christians, I would never vote for someone just because they are (or claim to be) a Christian - think Huckabee and Jimmy Carter.

Worth repeating. The political mess we are in is the result of the sickness, not the sickness itself!

Will He spare our Nation for the sake of, say, even TEN righteous U.S. residents, as He promised Abraham He would spare S&G for the sake of EVEN TEN.

“If they’d just quit talking about abortion and same-sex marriage we could take this country by storm.”

If we abandon moral values, it won’t make a whit of difference if we win.

Well, thank goodness some Donald supporters are coming out here. I thought they had all deserted.
I’ve taken a pretty good beating for criticizing Cruz- attacks, name calling, the whole bit.

“For instance, this site’s founder and I also once voted Democrat. Until 1980, for me.”

I think we’d all be happy to vote for someone who stopped voting Democrat in 1980. Or 1990. Maybe even 2000...
