Donald Trump should bounce back in New Hampshire on Tuesday.
His loss in Iowa at the hands of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was a setback, although it actually could have done Trump some good. But Trump cannot afford two losses in a row.
You can always learn something from defeat. And a little humility never hurt anyone, and Trump, who is not used to losing, sure could use some.
And he surprisingly flashed a little of it when he graciously congratulated Cruz, the man he had called a liar, on his first-place finish. But Trump still could not help himself from talking about how much ahead he was in the polls in New Hampshire even as he lost Iowa.

I think Trumps hysterical twitter hissy-fir about stolen elections is his “Howard Dean scream” moment.....
Yeah...Iowa hinted the “being presidential matters” by electing Huckabee, and others, who went on to lose the nomination.
It's pathological. It's something that can't be cured. Kinda like Child molesters.
Actually Iowa didn’t “hint” anything; it clearly said it is an irreverent and rather atypical state populated by people who want to elect a bishop not a president.
If Iowa hinted anything to me, it’s that some candidates who preach “principles” and “moral character” will lie and cheat to gain power. Compared to recent POTUS’s and politicians, yes, I guess that could be called “presidential”.
I have felt from the beginning that Trump doesn’t really want to be president. At the very least he is bi-presidential - shooting for it one day and torpedoing himself the next.
He keeps trying to find the Ausfahrt - exit ramp to his candidacy. He says one outrageous thing after another and finds himself more popular after every outburst.
And now it has become a game. He keeps drawing his own red line - crossing it again and again - testing to see how far he can go till he finally, hopefully, self-demolates (my new word of the day ).
I learned something from Iowa.
I learned, we are in dire need of a “None of the Above” line on our ballots.
Once again (third time since 2000)I will be looking past the second line on my presidential ballot in November.
Protest vote? Yes
Throwing away my vote? No, stating my choice.
Besides, who among the Uni-party candidates will be able to unite the voters? None of this crowd.

Facts are pesky things. You might want to look into them. Iowa has nominated the last five Dem candidates in a row, and has only one "miss" since '96 - in '08, they chose Huckabee, as you noted. In '12, Mitt tied Santorum, 25 pct each. That's not exactly a "miss". In '00, they nominated W. In '04, W was unopposed. So, Iowa is 8 for 9 by my count. Nice try though.
Cruz was polling in second.
Trump was supposedly the one bringing out record numbers of voters, and was polling in first.
Instead, Cruz got the highest vote total of any Iowa GOP candidate ever, and came in first.
I think Iowa spoke very clearly for conservative principles and wanting to end the government hyper-spending habit, even if it cost them billions in "free money"...
but nobody wants to talk about that, because Marco, picked to come in third, came in third, and Carson, picked to come in fourth at 8 pct finished in fourth with 9 pct. SMH.
Subtracting out the Democrats you had to run to in order to prop up your point, because what the hell that has to do with the GOP nomination, you are left with George W. Bush as the only GOP non sitting president to win the Iowa caucus since at least 1976, and then the nomination.
SO NO, they dont pick GOP nominees. They pick whomever can do the best televangelist impression.
Facts are pesky things.
That means Iowa has missed the last two in a row.
