For the first time in my life, my wife has in the past year watched more professional sports than I have. Which isn’t necessarily hard to do, since I’ve watched virtually zero.

Ditto that. I am (was?) an enthusiastic sports fan, and when we moved to the hinterlands I thought I would miss watching baseball and football. But for the past two years I cannot recall seeing an single pitch nor play, and have not missed it. When visiting my daughter and others I might catch a few minutes of a game, but otherwise MLB, NCAA, and NFL have devoloved into PC satire, and the NBA has become something unrecognizable to me. It makes their absence much easier.
