My sister often purchases drapery/upholstery fabrics to whip up into dresses. I’m waiting for her to go somewhere and blend into the drapes or furniture. lol.

I make vests from upholstery fabrics and some drapery material make great lined skirts and even the transparent materials, lined make nice blouses. I’ve yet to blend into the walls and windows. Right now I have some drapery material I’m going to turn into slacks, vest and jacket, a vest for hubby.

When I read your post I couldn’t help but be reminded of the old Carol Burnett as Scarlett O’Hara skit on Carol’s show where she came down the stairs in the drapes with the drapery rods still on - truly a classic!
