Michael Nesmith wore the wool hat in The Monkeys. He actually played musical instruments and wrote “Different Drum” that gave Linda Ronstadt her start.
An early back-up touring band for Linda included Glen Frey and Don Henley before they left to start some group called the Eagles. Not sure what happened to that group...
