Listen to the words. It could have been written about Baltimore or any of the other riots last year.

I agree.

Looks like Christie and Bush are teaming up to take down Bubble Boy:

That’s their standard mode of operation - they don’t have the facts so they just shut up and leave the thread (if we’re lucky) or come up with something totally off subject or childish.

Or that’s the rumor and they’ll all go after Trump again. Would make sense to hit both targets this close to the vote.

I don’t like these debates so close to the vote when networks are over involved. Megyn Kelly actually entered the debate yet wasn’t strapped by that sill “no props” rule. Hardly a fair forum for candidates.

Mickey was talented, but I’m thinking it was Peter that wore the hat - used to watch their show when I was much, much younger - fun show (at least for me back then).

RE most gifted song writer.
As a final exam in a music theory class (66-67 )we were given two pieces of music written by two youths at the same age. The first was easy ! The second, some gave up , others eraced holes in their papers.

A few minutes before time was up the prof stopped us. The first, simple composition was written by Mozart. The second sophisticated complicated was written by Paul McCartney./ John Lennon He pointed out that Mozart wrote the dance music for the youth of his time just as the Beatles did for ours. He projected that when the historians looked back on the composers of the mid twentieth century and their influence on the music and society the BEATLES Will be the name mentioned.

Nesmith! Michael Nesmith. He was the leader of the group, and the song writer.

That’s cool.

People don’t realize that in Vienna EVERYBODY played an instrument. Mozart and the others were the rock stars of their day. I think the guy had more money going thru his pockets that you couldn’t keep count.

Mozart was indeed a genius but the writing didn’t come easy. He was very good at his craft, as he learned it at a young age. Everything he did was perfect.

I think Bob Dylan is our best song writer. He is the William Shakespeare of our time.

Look at the discography:

You have discovered the best policy to keep your days happy: ignore the threads the hateful, nasty and most vile post. That's what I do and I don't reply to pings to those threads. I skip right past the titles without giving the posters or their comments so much as a glance. You're entirely correct about those you've described along with their motives and the few that reappear during elections. Life is short enough without wasting time on internet trolls trying to incite us to make us as mad and miserable as they truly are. FR is a happy place, where FRiends meet to discuss politics, exchange opinions and ideas. That's the point these obnoxious trolls choose to ignore, overlook or maybe lack the smarts to grasp.

At the time of the cival war 90+% of the people in America played a musical instrument. Then the gramophone was invented and they heard people who played better than they could. And the joy of playing music died !

I agree about not having the debates with the media shrills so close to the votes.

Here is what I think is the schedule for the remaining Pubbie debates:

February 6, 2016 (ABC) St. Anselm College, Manchester, New Hampshire [Primary Feb 9]

February 13, 2016 (CBS) The Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina -Moderator: John Dickerson [SC Primary Feb 20 - also WA state caucus; Nevada Rep Caucus Feb 23]

February 26, 2016 (NBC/Telemundo) University of Houston, Houston, Texas [Super Tues Mar 1 - includes Texas]

March 3, 2016 (Fox News) Detroit - Wallace, Megyn, Brett B
[Kansas, Louisiana and Maine Mar 5; Puerto Rico Mar 6; Hawaii, Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi Mar 8 ]

March 10, 2016 (CNN) Florida [FL, IL, MO, NC, OH Primaries Mar 15]

Here’s a link to all the primaries and caucuses:

Even though some appear to have registered to FR some years ago, I don't recall seeing their aliases until the past few months and can't help but think some are Dim trolls

Some of them are consistent in their posts over the years. Others, the newer posts do not have the same feel as older ones.

I wonder if the original owner of the account gave it up, or perhaps was disinterested, and another family member now uses it, perhaps with a different political outlook?

I’m hoping he can still do the SC rally. I guess he can take off, but the NH Airports are closed for landing.
