‘All is fair in love and war’, the old saying goes, and I know that presidential politics is a blood sport, but...
I can’t help thinking that Team Cruz should have contacted Team Carson to verify the information they had, before broadcasting it out to all their precinct captains. It doesn’t matter if they got the info from CNN, a Carson staffer’s tweet, or what. They really should have made absolutely sure that the info was 100% accurate before executing a play that wound up costing Carson a lot of votes.
I personally feel that was plain wrong of them to exploit that opening, and run with something that (they all knew) would be devastating to Ben Carson’s campaign on the very night of the vote.
What was even more disappointing, is that Ted refused to discipline any of his people for this monumental screw up.
Maybe he would have disciplined them if they had not taken advantage of this opportunity. I am really sad to see you that Ted is such a sleazoid, he was always my second choice but now I don’t even have a second choice. I will take Trumpertantrums over sleaze any day.
Most of them simply forwarded the message cnn put out.
Nothing wrong there.
If a campaign worker interpreted cnn story to say carson drppping and told voters, then maybe deal with that? Then again, even FOX NEWS said they thought he was dropping when when they got the same info.
