--snip-- Vermonts state college tuition is among the highest of any state in the nation. Although the state has one of the highest high school graduation rates, it lags when it comes to the number of students who go on to college and graduate.

Vermont has the highest cost for continuing education in the country," Spaulding said. "This is stopping kids from going to college." This break in the student pipeline is happening at the same time that policymakers want to increase the number of Vermonters with post-secondary degrees to 60 percent, from 45.5 percent.

When are idiots in the press going to ask Bernie the Worm, why Vermont does not have free college or a single payer health care plan.

A state that elects Bernie is undereducated, who would have thunk it?

There are plenty of states that would love to have students from Vermont. They have scholarships for out of state students, and lower out-of-state tuition. But I bet not too many Vermonters want to study in New Mexico or Alabama.

When the incoming president of the state’s tech college throws himself a $2,000,000 hiring party for a school of 1400 kids and then he is let go in 16 months, there might be a problem. Also Bernie’s wife had some shady dealings too.

...Vermont policymakers want to increase the number of Vermonters with post-secondary degrees to 60 percent, from 45.5 percent.

And we all know that "policymakers" can't be wrong. They know everything.

If only we could be rid of meddling busybodies in our lives, the world would be a much nicer place.

60 percent? What a waste of time and money. That's crazy. We need more technicians--not more government employees.
